Gay relationships! Complicated? Difficult? Or just too much drama to deal with? Do you even believe in them or not? Whatever you may choose to believe, starting a relationship can be a very nervous time, so what are some common methods and ways this plays out? Relationships are probably one of the major pieces of the puzzle that many gay men are still unsure about. Many of the previous sessions we have had in the last few months were ultimately leading to this issue and hopefully many of your questions will be answered. If it is not, you probably still have a lot of soul searching to do! Or maybe, you are not really ready for a relationship. Well, just as yet, at least. At the end of this session, we will better understand what relationships are all about and if it is what you want!

Whenever a gay man talks about falling in love, you are bound to hear another gay man mocking him! This common phenomenon is so in-grained among gay man that most of them have just stopped believing in love! Has it got to do with our underlying psychological issues or does it have to do with our sexual over drive or is it just because we are gay? What are some of the common love pitfalls? At the end of the session, we will better understand that gay man can and do fall in love and we are not different from our hetero counterparts!

Being In The Game - How To Date?

What are we attracted to? Where can I meet someone? For many guys a lot of the most visible community spaces are overly sexualised, so how can I get the most from them and where else can I try? Starting to date can be a very nervous time, so what are some common methods and ways this plays out? How do I negotiate the type of dating relationship that I want? At the end of the session, you will be able to better understand the dating “game” & what your expectations are as far as the type of dating relationship is concerned!

Set yourselves free.. HOW?

"It is a road much travelled - being gay and living a lifetime of deception and double life. And yet, as we had demonstrated in our last session, "coming out" can, indeed, be a life transforming act that would bring gay men their ultimate happiness and allow them to live an "honest" life.

Having said that, let's not pretend that "coming out" is anything other than the most daunting and traumatic struggle for all of us.

To be clear, "coming out" is not about screaming on top of one's voice: "I am gay!", because this world is not yet ready for such open and spontaneous declaration; nor is it about reinforcing the gay stereotype by ignoring convention and behaving outrageously to attract attention.. Rather, it is about planning and execution of strategies based on tried and tested "soft approaches" which this follow-up session aim to explore.

For those gay men who want a different and better lives but feel helpless, those who aspire to "coming out" but don't know how, those who feel guilty and frustrated simply for being gay and invisible, even for those who are "happily" closeted.. , this is your platform. Come to hear and be heard, learn and be inspired - take steps to change your fate and set yourselves free."

THE KEY TO GAY MEN’S HAPPINESS. WHY?

"When all is said and done, gay men, like the rest of the human race, remain forever looking for

Happiness, mostly in vain. That is because, as myth would have us believe, happiness is not supposed to be associated with gay people, is it?

Received wisdom, however, tell us differently - Being gay is no bar to happiness, but being gay and closeted is. Need proof? Just witness how most gay men live a life of lies and excuses, of misery under constant fear of being outed.. not to mention the stress of conducting shaky relationships under the public radar..

This session, we celebrate the act of coming out - that of being one's true self, by exploring why this is the single most important act a gay man can do to his life and how it can be instrumental to the success of his search for happiness. As the proverbial saying goes, truth should indeed set you free.

Kopitalk - Open Relationship

An open relationship is a relationship in which the participants are free to have emotional, spiritual and/or physical relationships with other partners. Some people refer to them as “no strings attached” relationships, “fuck buddies” or “friends with benefits”, but whatever name they go by, for most gay men they are hard to pass up.

Of course, it has a lot to do with fear of abandonment and commitment, but when you are young it is time to play a bit, to sow those seeds and, more importantly, to get a good cross-section of experience with a variety of different partners without getting too serious.

The problem, of course, is that “open relationships” are hard to pull off without one person “catching feelings” for the other, feelings that won’t necessarily be returned in kind. And of course, in these days of HIV and STDs, you need to know how to protect yourself. At the end of the session we will be able to better understand what “Open Relationships” really are and if it is meant for you!

Kopitalk- Turning Our Fears Around as Gay Men

Fears have a way of taking us over. And it can be more difficult for us to confront these when we are gay. From being closeted to being open, we face a variety of discrimination and abuse. How do we protect ourselves and those we love? How can we take a stand without being confrontational? How have other gay men survived situations that are much harsher than ours? From where do they gain their strength? Should we let our fears control us and render us inactive? Can we act without ever having to come out if that's what we want?

Come join us for a collective sharing and a collective building of our spirits and inner strengths in this interactive workshop. This workshop is for those between the ages of 18 to 30.

This workshop is Free but is limited to 30 Pax so please register early to avoid dissapointment.
